The Toronto Maple Leafs, one of the NHL�s �Original Six� teams, have already celebrated 13 Stanley Cup championships and currently find themselves battling for first place in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference standings. To celebrate the excitement surrounding this year�s Leafs team, the Upper Deck Company has produced a special 15-card set commemorating many of the greatest players to have ever donned the Leafs jersey. The promotional set is available exclusively at Toronto-area card shops and the only way to collect it is to put it together via random, three-card packs. The packs are available for FREE at participating shops with the purchase of one box of 2010-11 Upper Deck Series One Hockey cards while supplies last.

�These cards have a vintage feel to them, reminiscent of some of the premium products that were produced back in the �60s,� said Josh Zusman, Upper Deck�s hockey brand manager. �With next month�s launch of our flagship brand fast-approaching, we wanted to do something special to capture the Leafs� history and to pay tribute to some of the team�s great players. The set will be very limited so hopefully people don�t wait too long to visit shops participating in the program.�

The 15-card set features black-and-white photography with a blue Leafs border adorning each card front. Some of the stars from yesteryear included in the collection are Frank Maholvich, Johnny Bower, Red Kelly, Wendel Clark, Darryl Sittler and Doug Gilmore, while some of the team�s current stars featured include Jean-Sebastian Giguere, Phil Kessel, Dion Phaneuf and Jonas Gustavsson. Visit one of the participating Toronto-area hobby shops and start collecting your historic Maple Leafs set when 2010-11 Upper Deck Series One Hockey releases in early November.
